About the Saint John Bark
Park
The Park
The Saint John Bark Park
is a one-acre space where dogs are legally permitted to socialize and
play together off-leash. There are two sections: one for larger,
more active dogs, and another area for smaller, less active dogs.
The Bark Park is located in Rockwood Park, in Saint John, New
Brunswick. (See "Location" at left for more details.)
Who's on the Bark Park Committee?
We are a group of Saint John area citizens and dog lovers who
recognize the value an off-leash park brings to our community.
Together with the generous support of the City of Saint John Leisure
Services and our sponsors, we are making our dogs' dreams of wide open
spaces to play a reality.

History
In June of 2006, a group of local
citizens joined together for a common cause.
The Mission:
To establish: a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine
citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering
or annoying people, property or wildlife.
To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers
and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.
To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City
Saint John and Rockwood Park, designed to satisfy the needs of dog
owners and non-dog owners alike.
